Why did the customer contact us?
The customer needed their crawl space encapsulated.
Solutions provided:
Remove all batted insulation and old vapor barrier. Sterifab to disinfect and treat for mold and mildew on the joists. Install R11 bora foam board on the walls and block off the vents. Spray foam the rim joists with 2 inches of closed cell spray foam. Install dimple shield and a white 16 mil vapor barrier/crawlshield. Seam tape vapor barrier 12 inches up the R11 bora foam board.
Remove old door and install a new white composite door. Dig a half circle three inches down around the new entry door and install washed stone.
Dig a trench along perimeter walls and install a fast drain system. Washed stone will be installed in the trench and then the fast drain system will be installed gravity feed to a new fast sump liner. Fast drain will be covered with the was stone. Sump pump liner will include one 1/3 hp sump pump with check valve and discharge line. Sump pump will be installed in rear left corner of the crawlspace. Discharge line will be ran 22 feet away from home to the backyard and discharge into a drain box flush with the ground.
Install one Santa Fe compact 2 dehumidifier in the middle of the crawlspace and run discharge line to the new sump pump.
