Why did the customer contact us?
Water entering basement at ceiling, left rear area. No foundation issues. Inspection indicates possible water entry near left rear return and rake. Return is missing/damaged.
Solutions provided:
Replace return and short rake with new primed wood. Use existing wood to match paint but cannot guarantee exact match. Caulk/seal. Rake cap/wrap. Right side of the attic showed some water entry and blowing water entering the attic space. Right side of home, install metal capping on rake, caulk and seal. Cream colored may not match exactly. Reset siding: Ride side of home, aluminum siding is pushed back from sheathing. Siding resting on the neighbors roof. Recommend removal of siding, check and flash sheathing and down to shingles. Inspect for any additional issues. Additional repairs or remediation may be needed. Remove dish on roof, seal bolt holes. Discard the dish and cables. Door repair; install replacement closer, supplied by customer, in lower door jamb. Paint bump out: Sand/caulk/paint entire bump out with exterior grade paint. Will attempt to match as close as possible.
