Why did the customer contact us?
The customer had water entering the basement near and under the bay window. Inspection reveals land slopes toward home with small hills also sloping to home.
Solutions provided:
Add top soil along a 50 Linear foot section from the right front corner of the home, along brick. Install heavy duty plastic, seal to foundation and slope away from home to promote drainage. Install washed river stone under the bay window only.
Install new sod after work is complete. SES cannot guarantee sod will grow. SES will warrant the installation for a period of 1 year from installation. Wet carpet and evidence of damage at baseboards. Will need to remove a 12 foot section of wall from floor to ceiling to inspect for foundation cracks. If cracks are found they will need to seal with high strength epoxy. Customer will need to have the wall and any damaged studs replaced, Carpet is water soaked and damaged and will need replacing. Area will need to be dried to prevent mold/fungal growth. May need mold treatment pending inspection of the wall.
