The customer had musty odors in their crawl space and basement.
Solutions provided:
Encapsulation is intact and no problems found with the installation. Signs of rodent infestation with acorns and droppings. Recommend having a pest control company examine for point of entry to remediate this issue. Recommend installation of blanket insulation with integrated vapor barrier on walls in unfinished basement from floor to ceiling. R11. Apply sterilizer to crawlspace to kill any possible microbial growth. Apply sterilizer to the living room above to kill any possible growth. Customers are advised they must be out of the home during and up to 1 hour after treatment. Customers should check their own dehumidifier in the basement and clean as per manufacturers.
